EUSL Sweden | Stockholm County The local business network for an inclusive and equal society

We include the local business community in the work towards a more inclusive and equal society

Exclusion is the biggest challenge of modern times as there is no given solution. The European Social Label in Stockholm County wants to pull its weight and do what the EU or the authorities have not yet succeeded in doing; to engage the business community in this matter. For each case of failed integration, trust in politicians and authorities decreases and this is where the European Social Label instead helps to build trust through local activities and activities.

With digitalisation, modern tools and real initiatives in Stockholm County, the European Social Label is starting a new popular movement, focusing on how the business community can participate and contribute to reducing exclusion. From a business perspective, there must also be financial incentives to be able to participate and by working together with the European Social Label, especially small businesses get both the tools to reduce their costs as well as increase their own sales, create a positive brand development while the local the community around the company is developing positively.

How the European Social Label works

Membership

The core of the European Social Label Västerbotten is a local membership, but also a membership in the European activities. The latter is to facilitate and expand the local company's presence on both a national as well as international level. Membership includes tools such as CRM systems, video conferencing systems, tools for managing social media, e-commerce platforms as well as the ability to network both physically and digitally with other members.

Own foundation

European Social Label is basically run with the idea-driven thinking in focus. In order to best realize this, we have developed our own foundation, the European Social Label Foundation, where the surplus of the membership fee goes in full. The surplus then goes out into the community through so-called social initiatives defined by the local members, which then European Social Label performs and markets back to the members and thus creates a positive brand development so that companies can take a stronger grip on their market.

Our work in Stockholm County

Kalmar County has two difficult challenges ahead; the geographical as well as the demographic where short distances the bird route between Borgholm and Oskarshamn in practice takes several hours and often becomes an insurmountable obstacle while people who have completed their educations all too rarely stay in the region but rather move to the big cities.

Here, the European Social Label is determined to break a pattern and focus on reducing distances and creating more useful companies for the region. This should be done through training, our own entrepreneurship program, which is largely defined by our members, and smart digital tools.

The goal for the European Social Label is to become a given supplier of competence in most industries that today are classified as shortages, while at the same time we get more idea-driven and social companies in the county. Finally, the goal is to work with the local business community to develop the digital tools and platforms needed to bridge the time-consuming distances that the county possesses and together create a more inclusive and equal society for everyone to live and work in.

How do we get started and how can your company contribute?

European Social Label Logo

1. Become a member

Becoming a member is a stance against exclusion and the desire to create a better society. It is also a position against the fact that authorities cannot continue to conduct their activities in their current form and believe that the problem will be solved. Within the European Social Label, we are aware that the current tax-based system is both obsolete and congested, and it is necessary to add a support system as well as expose the existing one to competition in order to drive development forward.

2. Review your needs

To be able to help others, you must first help yourself, where the instruction before a flight is to put on your own oxygen mask first in case of emergency. What would your company need to create a better society? Increased sales, reduced costs, help with employer support or wage subsidy, marketing, business adaptation, recruitment or something else? The European Social Label can in all probability assist with all this and more

3. Be involved and influence

There are never any strict demands from the European Social Label for members to be active or set aside time and money for things they do not want to do. For us, membership in itself goes a long way as the surplus regardless of goes into the foundation. But if our members want to be involved and get involved, we welcomed you with open arms. It can be about helping trainees from schools, work training, defining the content of our educational programs, proposing initiatives or something else.

European Social Label is non-profit. Join the journey!

All surplus goes into the foundation and out into the community through the members' wishes. As a member, you can always choose to do more, but it is not a requirement. It can also vary from month to month as we understand that as an entrepreneur, everyday life changes very quickly. Regardless, we are convinced that the solution to the exclusion issue is marketing our members. When we market companies that help new arrivals, have accessibility-adapted websites and premises, help the local sports association or distribute food to the needy, new customers will be generated. The marketing takes place on our own channels as well as on our members' social media. Together, the European Social Label and its members create a completely new ecosystem with a focus on social integration and gender equality issues.

It is a big win-win for all parties and as an effect it also reduces the high pressure on municipalities, regions and authorities. Together with the local business community in Kalmar County, we create a better society to live and work in.
